PLASTIC-FLOW OF A FERRITIC MILD-STEEL AND A HIGH-STRENGTH AUSTENITIC STEEL UNDER DYNAMIC BIAXIAL LOADING

摘要
Uniaxial and biaxial experiments were carried out on two steels at room temperature in the strain rate range 10(-5) - 10(2) s-1. For biaxial tension-tension loading there is a close agreement between the yield loci of mild steel with the von Mises yield criterion, however, under combined tension-torsion the Tresca criterion is in better agreement. The yield locus of the austenitic steel under tension-torsion loading is a function of strain and strain rate. Perzyna's constitutive equation describes the latter results very well.
