History and fiction in a post-colonial interaction: the transversal historic novel

This article explores a new avenue of appreciation of contemporary historical novels by considering the form in which they are written, and arguing that although History and Fiction are two different ways of representing reality, both use the same material for accomplishing that representation, i.e., writing. From this standpoint, this article attempts to establish that both types of discourse are a construction.
