摘要
With the understanding of the unique definition between cervical cancer and Human papillomavirus (HPV) efforts have paved the way for prevention of this virus. The vaccines targeting HPV types 16 and 18, responsible 70% of all cervical cancers worldwide, and HPV types 6 and 11, responsible for the great majority of genital wart cases, will reduce rates of morbidity and mortality. Although the high efficacy of the vaccine in preventing cervical cancer, the screening programmes for cervical cancer must continue. Because of the high cost of the vaccine, the health-care organizations must go into action for universal administration of HPV vaccine.
