摘要：

Talking about governance and democracy are critical issues on the international agenda; Mexico is not the exception. In this sense, this article aims to make a brief study of the crisis being experienced regarding political governance in the Mexican state and the possibility of considering citizen participation as an option to allow the citizen to be involved in general issues and thereby allow the legitimization of power.
