摘要
19F N.M.R. spectra of solutions containing the hexafluoroniobate ion are reported for a range of temperatures. Computer fitting of the observed line shapes shows that both quadrupole-induced transitions between the spin states of the 93Nb nucleus and chemical exchange of the fluorine atoms contribute to the line shapes by modulating the 93Nb-19F scalar coupling. The unusual temperature dependence of the observed 93Nb relaxation rates is explained in terms of a simple model. © 1968 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
