ON THE DYNAMICS OF FERROMAGNETIC PARTICLES IN A MAGNETIC-FIELD

摘要
We study the dynamics of a ferromagnetic particle and the transport coefficients of a dilute suspension constituted by these particles under the action of a constant magnetic field. A formalism based on the introduction of induced forces allows us to construct a general scheme under which it is possible to analyze the dynamics of the system. The viscosities are also computed by means of Green-Kubo formulas in which the correlation functions follow from fluctuating hydrodynamics. Our results agree with the ones obtained by other authors using a continuum description and with a previous analysis based on the formulation of a Smoluchowski equation.
