This paper considers the validity of Kaldor's Law when applied to time series data on British economic growth since 1800. The results lead us to the view that the Kaldor hypothesis is not inconsistent with British growth performance over this period, but neither does it merit strong support. © 1979, Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
