摘要
The structure of alkali-dititanate glasses Na2O . 2TiO(2) and K2O . 2TiO(2) prepared by a rapid quenching combining a thermal-image furnace and a twin roller, were investigated X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy. Radial distribution function (r.d.f.) of the Na2O . 2TiO(2) glass revealed that the average coordination number of oxygens around a titanium ion is 4.1, i.e. tetrahedral TiO4 units are formed in this glass. From the Raman spectra of the alkali-dititanate glasses Na2O . 2TiO(2) and N2O . 2TiO(2), titanium ions are in four-fold coordination in the glasses studied, because there are no Raman bands below 700 cm(-1) due to octahedral TiO6.
