EFFECT OF MAGNETIC QUANTIZATION ON THE FIELD-EMISSION FROM BISMUTH

摘要
An attempt is made to study the magneto-field emission from Bi by using the Abrikosov dispersion relation in the presence of spin and broadening. It appears that the field emitted current density increases with increasing electron concentration and decreases with increasing quantizing magnetic field respectively in an oscillatory way. The quantum oscillations in the Abrikosov model show up much more significantly than in the Lax model.
