Group Reflections on Gerontology: Normal and Pathological Aging

With the objective of deal with some topics of interest and relevance for a group of psychologists performing their practice, a German Seminar was carried out weekly. In this article we present the reflections, contributions and conclusions regarding to the topic: "Normal and pathological aging", the main questions posed were; which factors influence quality of life during the aging process? Is possible to consider oldness without disease? Why people are afraid of aging? And finally, which is the role that evaluations has when working with old people? Furthermore, the importance of Vigotsky's Historical-cultural approach and the active role of the psychologist are emphasized regarding the contribution, transformation and reconceptualization of oldness, far away from myths and preconceived negative ideas about it.
