Inter- and intra-molecular vibrational in a CO2-N-2 system

The vibrational relaxation equation for a system of polyatomic molecules is presented. and applied to the vibrational energy transfer processes in a CO2-N-2 system. From the experimental relaxation process. the rates of the inter- and intra-molecular energy transfers are determined by a shock technique in a temperature range of 800-2500 degrees K.
