New surgical treatment for nonneoplastic tracheoesophageal fistula

摘要
Original method of nonneoplastic tracheoesophageal fistula disjunction using compression construction with shape memory has been developed. The experimental study was performed on mongrels with preliminarily made tracheoesophageal fistula. The technique consists of fistula covering with pedicle fat flap and following clipping by the construction. In all cases tracheoesophageal fistula was eliminated simply and reliably. Macro- and microscopic investigation of intervention area revealed, that continuity of typical epithelium of trachea and esophagus was regenerated by the 14 day after operation.
