RIGHT-SIDED DIAPHRAGMATIC-HERNIA AND GROUP-B STREPTOCOCCAL INFECTION - A REPORT OF 2 CASES

摘要：
We report two cases of right sided diaphragmatic hernia following streptococcal agalactiae sepsis. A chest x-ray demonstrated infiltration of the right lung with a normal hemidiaphragm. A regimen of ceftriaxone was started. In the presence of non resolving neonatal streptococcal pneumonia, we suspected a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Ultrasonography was useful for the correct diagnosis. Both infants improve rapidly following the surgical repair of a diaphragmatic hernia.
