Double-diffusive natural convection in Al-Cu and Pb-Sn liquid metals is simulated with a Chebyshev collocation numerical technique. The predicted overall system response is discussed predicted fine-scale features are noted, and the performance of the numerical method is quantified. Overall, the numerical scheme appears to be wed suited for single-phase double-diffusion simulation, with new phenomena revealed, and spectral convergence noted.
