The role of science and technology museums in the demoscopic studies of social perception of science: The case of Spain

Museums and science and technology displays aspire to become places of trade, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary centers capable of boosting the relations between science, technology, the scientific community, audiences and the museum itself. The public understanding of science studies museums include science and technology museums in their surveys understanding them as indicators of the involvement of individuals in a society in matters related to science and technology. The results offered by various opinion polls differ in the results offered for museums of science and technology. The difference in results could be due to a lack of consensus in the conception of science and technology museum.
