摘要
The crystal structures of five hydrothermally synthesized representatives of the kieserite group Me(II)SO4.H2O [szmikite (Me = Mn), szomolnokite (Me = Fe), dwornikite (Me = Ni), gunningite (Me = Zn) and CoSO4.H2O] were refined in space group C2/c using single crystal X-ray data. The positions of the hydrogen atoms were determined for all five compounds - the hydrogen bonding scheme was found to be in accordance to kieserite, MgSO4.H2O. However, there are small but significant differences in the atomic arrangement of kieserite compared to the investigated isotypic transition metal sulfates.
