摘要
The interaction of NO with CO on an active carbon-supported cobalt phase as a catalyst has been investigated at 100-550-degrees-C. It is established that the two reductions of NO (to N2 and N2O) depend differently on temperature due to the presence of different active sites on which N2 and N2O are formed. Gas mixtures of NO + CO + Ar were used for the catalytic studies and the results were processed by the transient response method. It was established that the highest activity at low temperatures (140-160-degrees-C) belonged to the catalyst obtained at 200-degrees-C. The temperature dependence of the activity and selectivity of this catalyst showed a reversible maximum associated with a change in the rate-controlling step of the reaction.
