Coexistent anti-glomerular basement membrane disease and Wegener's granulomatosis

We report the case of a 71 year-old man that was admitted to the hospital because of acute renal failure and evidence in serum of anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies associated with anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies having a perinuclear pattern. The evolution shows clinical and patological features of anti-glomerular basement membrane antibodies disease and Wegener's granulomatosis. We review the publisted bibliography as well as clinical and pathologic features of both diseases.
