GROUP-PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH A PARAPLEGIC GROUP, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON SPECIFIC PROBLEMS OF SEXUALITY

The authors feel that sex education among such groups as the chronically ill or elderly should be part of any successful therapeutic program in a hospital or institution. Unfortunately, sexual behavior in any form is considered to be taboo in many hospitals, but turning away from discussion of such a vital area as human sexuality only serves to exacerbate the anxiety or maladjustment of the patient.
