摘要：

We explore the possibility of standardizing fields of defects by means of magnetic fields due to current flowing in a conductor during magnetographic inspection of unreinforced weld joints. It is shown that a defect of the required size can be simulated by selection of the current in the conductor. The nomograms given can be used to select the current in the defect simulator during magnetographic inspection.
