Possibilities of building a civic consciousness from new educational and environmental practices

The formation of a civic consciousness as one of the goals of education for these new times was the factor that motivated the present research that has the axis of its analysis Environmental Education. From an experience of collective participation prepared a project with students of a state school, located in the Campos municipality of Goytacazes/RJ. The study found to be possible to build citizenship through the involvement and commitment to local issues. The project construction work was reported as the primary stage of this effort to achieve differentiated pedagogical actions.
