摘要
In order to design an electrical machine that meets the preset requirements in the best way, it is of great importance to develop means to predict the performance of the outlined machine. As a still unexploited motor concept, permanent magnet (PM) motors have not yet received constrained frame sizes or standards. Hence it is an excellent object for testing new design methodologies, such as the finite element method. In this paper a design methodology involving the use of analytical model, based on generalized magnetic circuit theory, complemented by numerical calculations is presented.
