The lattice SU(2) Higgs model is simulated at T = 0 and T similar or equal to T-c. Simple and efficient heatbath and reflection updates for the Higgs field are presented. It is shown how to determine a renormalized gauge coupling from Polyakov line correlations. For physical parameters g(R)(2) similar or equal to 0.55 and m(H)/m(W) similar or equal to 0.6, the surface tension at the finite temperature transition is obtained.
