Structural Changes in Metals Subjected to Direct or Twist Extrusion: Mathematical Simulation

摘要
The structural evolution of a material is calculated using a phenomenological grain-refinement and failure model based on the relation between these two processes. Direct extrusion and various schemes of twist extrusion are compared, and the effect of pressure is considered. The results obtained are used to draw conclusions regarding the advantages of certain deformation schemes.
