SOME REMARKS ON THE CHARACTERISTICS COMPARISON OF AERO-ENGINES WITH SINGLE-STAGE OR DOUBLE-STAGE BRAYTON PROCESS

Continual higher demands to specific power, fuel efficiency and environment consequences of civil aero-engines require new technologies. Until now generally the external energy exchange has been improved. That's why in future it is more necessary to devote to the internal processes, i.e. to the thermodynamic cycle. The currently used single-stage process ensures small improvements. On the other hand the suggested double-stage process with regeneration has a greater potential for development. Both processes are analysed quantitatively, compared with each other and examined to their realization in aero-engines.
