Rhyacionia miniatana (Staudinger 1871) sp. rev. is recalled from the synonymy with of Rhyacionia pinivorana (Lienig & Zeller 1846). The adult and the genitalia of both sexes are redescribed and compared with those of pinivorana and Rhyacionia maritimana Prose 1981. Genitalic structures and the adults of all three taxa are figured. R. miniatana and maritimana are regarded as western Mediterranean, whereas pinivorana has a Eurosiberian distribution.
