摘要
The purpose of this review is to summarize what is currently known about the hormonal control of molting and to describe some of the biochemical, physiological, and behavioral processes that are influenced by the molt cycle. This introductory review is geared towards those ecologists and ethologists working with decapod crustaceans who need to consider the underlying physiology of their animals with respect to the molt cycle.
