摘要
Immediately after the "March on Rome", fascist ideas gained attention and admirers in Latin America and Spain. Institutions like fascist regime itself and Catholic Church provided fascism a great support. The article deals with the Venezuela and Spain cases. In Venezuela, fascist activities are seen through La Religion, the most important Catholic newspaper in that time. Spain is analyzed based on articles from El Debate, one of the newspapers that disseminated Catholic ideas during those years, with considerable influence among Spanish society and political class. By analyzing information about Italian regime issued on both newspapers, it is argued the possibility to evaluate ideology and political actions shared by Catholicism and fascism.
