摘要
The kinetics and equilibria of the displacement of pyridine (py) from the [Pd(Me5dien)(py)]2+ cation, (Me5dien = 2,5,8-trimethyl-2,5,8-triazanonane) by water, chloride, and iodide have been studied in acidic and basic aqueous solution. Values have been obtained for the rate and equilibrium constants. Unlike the reactions of the corresponding [Pd(dien)(py)]2+, there is no evidence for the formation of stable intermediates, nor is there any dependence of the rate of solvolysis on [OH-] and chloride is a better nucleophile than iodide.
