摘要
The nondestructive testings (NDT) of materials constitute a fundamental tool in the industrial sector. The NDT by ultrasound provides benefits in their use, since it is an innocuous technology, it measures thicknesses, it detects discontinuities, has a high penetration capability, the results are known quickly and owns different techniques to choose in agreement with the required test. The development raises the use of the neuronal networks for the detection and characterization of defects in metallic pipes from ultrasound signals in order to facilitate its diagnosis. With the purpose of to fulfill the objective a data bank from defects simulated linear and circular) in pipes was constructed, which were inspected using the technique of immersion in tank with a transducer of 1 MHz. The developed project allows to obtain a qualitative diagnosis of the pipe with right indices of performance.
