摘要
Description is given of a complex variable-variational method (CVVM) to investigate the stress intensity factors (S.I.F.) for a double notch edge crack in isotropic or orthotropic plates subjected to pin loads. Numerical studies reveal that the convergent results are given by a quite simple program which reduces data manipulation and computer time. A very satisfactory degree of accuracy is obtained from the results when compared with the findings of earlier studies.
