摘要
Diffusion dominates the early stages in the development of viscous flows after an impulsive start. Here we solve the unsteady Stokes flow equation for a semi-infinite flat plate to help understand both how the effect of the edge penetrates the vorticity within the shear layer along the plate and how the potential flow outside this layer commences. © 1992.
