摘要
We performed a questionnaire survey with the intention to reveal the state of clinical investigations conducted in oncology, and problems hindering achievement of more qualified studies in Turkey. Twelve survey questions were directed to physicians working in the field of medical oncology. Hundred and twelve physicians participated in the study. Annually median number of 2.3 articles written by the participating physicians have been included in the Science Citation Index All the participating physicians indicated that medical oncologists in our country had not spared enough time for clinical researches. Based on their responses 82% of them had participated in clinical investigations, and 32% of them had not receive any training on this issue. When problems encountered as for realization of clinical investigations were questioned, in order of decreasing importance the following issues have been emphasized: inability to spare time for investigations because of routine health care.
