摘要
Acute bronchiolitis is a common lower respiratory tract infection in infants. The most common infectious agent is the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Early symptoms are in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT). In the later stage ENT congestion and breathing difficulties intensify. Clinical outcome is generally good, thanks to the implementation of an effective treatment or appropriate measures to prevent its recurrence and spread. Acute bronchiolitis is the source of hospitalisation in 5 % of cases. (C) 2012 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved
