摘要
Jorge Luis Borges was fascinated by idealism since the beginning of his literary career. It was the influence of his family friend Macedonio Fernandez, as well as reading philosophers like Schopenhauer and Berkeley, that propitiated his adhesrence to idealism. However, it was the influence of David Hume's thinking which decisively defined the theoretical coherence of the Borges' theses, and which established a point of attachment between the position of Berkeley and that of Schopenhauer. Moreover, it allowed him to carry out different reflections on the problem of time. David Hume is present in what critics consider to be Borges' main literary pieces.
