摘要
Three approaches for improving the performance of remote-field eddy current nondestructive testing probes are introduced in this paper: the use of magnetic circuits for the exciter coil, magnetic circuits for detectors, and dual excitation. The results of finite-element simulations are shown for each of them. Two prototypes, which combined the three approaches, were built. Both calculations and experimental measurements for the prototypes showed that great improvements in the probes were obtained.
