摘要
The incremental cutting force expressions derived by Das and Tobias [1] are applied to the prediction of the stability of a simplified machine tool system. The correspondence between the predicted and experimental results is quite good and the level of stability is shown to depend upon the mean shear angle during cutting. The validity of the Universal Machinability Chart is discussed also. © 1968.
