FRACTAL BASIN BOUNDARIES OF COEXISTENT ATTRACTORS IN AN OPTICAL BISTABLE SYSTEM

摘要
The dynamical behavior of an optical bistable system with a long delay in the feedback loop has been studied and experimentally demonstrated in detail[1-3]. However, not much attention has been paid to the dynamical behavior of that with a short-delay feedback. Dai et al.[4] reported that the quasi-periodic motion exists in a hybrid optical bistable system with a short delay, but they did not study it further. In this note we first report the existence of multiple attractors and the fractal basin boundaries of coexistent attractors in the short-delay feedback system.
