摘要
Referring on the critical theory of society, this study presents considerations about the need for studies that consider High School as social practice as well as the concepts that supports the analysis. Then these aspects are problematized and related to the nature and peculiarities of High School (function of the school, work training, teens relationship with the school and the political formation). High School can be an important space for debate about the social life. It would acquire an undeniable formative dimension, leading young people would reflect on their own aspirations and expectations in confrontation with the social needs.
