摘要：

An attack on some of the problems of analysis of data arising from experiments in human signal detection is presented. Under fairly general assumptions about the underlying noise and signal-plus-noise distributions (viz., that they came from the same location-scale family), techniques for estimating the receiver operating characteristic curve in both Yes-No" and "Rating-scale" experiments are developed. The properties of these estimates are investigated and measures of goodness-of-fit are suggested where appropriate. © 1969."
