摘要
An empirical rate law was developed that describes the deposition of amorphous SiO//2 on precoated substrates in 1 molal NaCl over a pH range of 5 to 8 and a temperature range of 60 to 120 degree C (140 to 248 degree F). Hydroxide concentration is derived from the measured pH and the ionization quotient for water. Cursory data indicated a rapid increase in rate at higher salinities.
