摘要：
The axisymmetric, high-Reynolds-number laminar flow associated with two coaxial vortex rings, about which there is circulation of opposite sign, is considered. Of particular interest is the interaction between the two rings which, from a numerical simulation of the flow, is seen to embrace a wide variety of interesting phenomena. The overall features of the interactions may be interpreted in terms of inviscid flow dynamics.
