摘要
The present study aims to examine how intensively print media are currently being used in comparison to electronic media in the university sector. In particular, the use of books, journals and newspapers is investigated. In addition, we examine whether there are gender-, age-, university- and group-specific differences in user behavior. The data required for the study was collected by structured surveys among 554 students and 436 university teachers. Based on this data, we found out that print media are still of great importance in the university sector. Elderly users, users from the humanities sector, as well as users from the group of university teachers use print media particularly intensively, for professional as well as for private purposes.
