摘要
The wear from a work surface has profound economic consequences related to downtime and loss of production machinery. Sliding wear problem has been highly studied from different approaches in order to predict the wear rate of one or both metals from tribological pair. This paper develops a phenomenological based semiphysical model to sliding pairs for wear rate prediction. The methodology employed provides for mathematical model structure as balance equations that describe different phenomena linked to the loss of material, such as high thermal dynamic and increased the entropy from sliding system (first and second law of thermodynamics). Model simulation shows that obtained model can predict the wear rate, the generation and disipation energy into sliding pair.
