摘要
An evaluation has been made of alumina after exposures to steam and different pressures. In some exposures, the atmospheres were saturated with sodium and potassium hydroxide vapor. Increases in strength were noted in refractories containing 45-70% alumina following exposures to steam-containing environments. The greatest improvements in strength were noted in refractories having low purity cement bond phases. 6 refs.
