摘要
For an ideal periodic arrangement of layers we derived the stop bands for all angles of incidence and mode polarizations. By counting superlattice modes we obtained their density of states and contribution to the low temperature specific heat. For a realistic system with layer widths differing from those of a perfect periodic arrangement, the band structure is shown to disappear gradually with increasing frequency. © 1990.
