摘要
The spectral distribution of emissions from hydrogen-based microwave plasmas has been investigated, and the effect of the particular radiation on polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) was studied. PE was found to be oxidized with a high rate compared with PP. Even at the base pressure of 10(-4) Pa oxidation takes place. The oxygen concentration in the surface of PET can be increased by irradiation in an oxygen atmosphere, while it is decreased if the treatment is carried out in vacuum. In both cases, however, the composition of surface functional groups changes remarkably.
