摘要：

During the last decades, scholars have probed the Gospel of John from various angles. The theme of creation, however, has been largely neglected. Though there exists several studies produced by English scholars, no single study has yet filled all the research gaps. By indicating several major lines of previous research in the English academic world, the theme of creation will be shown to still present a fruitful line of inquiry within New Testament studies.
