摘要
What is memory? Can it be influenced, and how? After reminding us of the complexity of the notion of memory, Marie-Clair Lavabre points out the interest of the distinction between collective memory, as initially conceptualized by the sociologist Maurice Halbwachs, and memory, as defined by the uses given to it by historians. It is possible to act upon memory- and this will is expressed with a particular force in the situations in which past hasn't past--, within certain limits and conditions.
