A UNIFIED FORMULATION OF STATICAL SHAKEDOWN CRITERIA FOR GEOMETRICALLY NONLINEAR PROBLEMS

摘要
In recent years, the shakedown theorems have found an increasing interest in order to predict the long-time behavior of elastic-plastic structures subjected to variable repeated loadings. In this paper, a new extension of the classical Melan's theorem to geometrically nonlinear shakedown problems is presented. The theorem contains known formulations from literature as special cases and so allows a direct comparison of the different underlying assumptions. A numerical example illustrates the proposed method. © 1990.
